The day would begin with a routine… toast, coffee, read the obituaries, call an old friend, shower, shave and then dress up. He would walk to the Farmer’s Market on 3rd and Fairfax to see what he could see. His favorite thing was to watch people dressed in outrageous costumes as they waited to become contestants on a game show at the TV studios next to the market. He would sit and watch the wonder of humanity this place had to offer. For him, it was the movies, theater and television all wrapped into one magical place. All this, plus you could enjoy a cup of coffee and a great piece of pie.
