In the future, will there be a diorama in a natural history museum depicting us with our television remotes, cheesy snacks, iPhones and video games? Will the dogs and cats who rule the world laugh at what we called civilization? Perhaps they will remember us fondly for all we did for them and how little we did to save ourselves.
