There was once a time when returning from space was all ticker tape parades and presidents shaking your hand. In the last few years the earth had become so terrible many an astronaut dreaded returning. Earth made them sad. They seemed to miss space. Perhaps it was the peace in the vast darkness and the stars, those amazing stars.
