We jumped in the car and made our getaway out of the city. We had no idea where we were going. After thirty miles we stopped for cigarettes and coffee. At a hundred miles we stopped for the restroom. At two hundred miles we stopped to argue. Then there was a hundred miles of silence. Somewhere in the middle of the desert we stopped the car and got out to look at the stars. There under the soft cloud of the milky way we looked at each other. We had reached our destination.
