For the past month, the restaurant busboy would give the homeless man in the alley a plate of leftovers. One night the busboy noticed something very odd. The the man had been throwing away the food and eating only the plastic containers. Then one night the homeless man was gone but left a note. “I am just a visitor here but I am moved by your kindness. As a show of my thanks, I have modified the dumpster for time travel. Be safe. Have fun.” The busboy ignored the note as the ravings of just another mentally ill homeless person. Days later, after countless little frustrations at work, the busboy approached the dumpster. That was the last time anyone ever saw him. Many years later, a waiter thought he saw him in a crowd but felt he was mistaken. The busboy would have looked so much older.
