DAD’S WAR JOURNAL

I recently found the journal my father kept during the second world war. In between the horrors of things seen and experienced, he wrote about the normalcy of everyday moments between friends.  In his words you can sense the desire to return home to his wife and newborn son. That son was my brother and home must have seemed an impossible distance away. He would survive this terrible war with the help of two important things… friendship and hope.
