He lived in a tough neighborhood with violent gangs roaming the streets. It became increasingly dangerous just to take a simple walk. Get an intimidating dog someone said and so he went to the pound to look for the meanest hound he could find. Instead, he fell in love with a puppy in desperate need of adoption. He and the pup took a walk down the mean streets and every single person, gang members included, stopped to say hello and pet the new pooch. He and the dog were now protected members of the hood.
